Our Vision

Founded by Dr. Laura Lenear Dorsey, a retired college professor and educator with more than 30 years of experience, LLD Scholars was created to help students confidently navigate life after high school. Through decades of mentoring and educational leadership, Dr. Dorsey recognized the need for guidance and support for students pursuing college, careers, entrepreneurship, or military service.

Our Mission

LLD Scholars provides a supportive community where students can explore opportunities, gain valuable resources, and receive guidance on their chosen path. For more than 15 years, Dr. Dorsey has helped over 150,000 students access educational and career opportunities, facilitating more than $1 billion in scholarships and helping countless young people achieve success. Today, that mission continues through LLD Scholars College & Career Expos, connecting students with educators, employers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who are committed to their future.
